What do you want out of life?A new car, a new home, another baby, a better job, more money, a better prayer life, more free time? Do you find yourself praying for all of these things and more? But how do you pray? Do you beg and plead? Just pray, your prayers have already been answered.
Imagine a brand new car being left at your doorstep.
Its just what you needed for your family. Maybe that means it’s a minivan, or a pickup truck. It’s safe and you love it! Better yet it’s in your budget and you may even have a little wiggle room to go out to eat a little bit more, or save for a rainy day.
If I had a new car I would be dancing and singing and just praising GOD! Honestly anything would be better than the old beater that we have right now that barely fits 3 of the teenagers that we have now, and they are all growing beasts! A larger car with more room would be a miracle on our budget! Of course I would give God all of the glory!
God knows our need and I have asked him for provision. However, what I was just reminded about is that I should praise him while I’m waiting on his answer. I know he will answer my prayers, but It’s my job to thank him for his answer even if it’s not what I expected or wanted. Your prayers have already been answered.
I will praise him
I will praise him for how those heated leather seats keep me warm in the winter and that cold a/c will keep me cool in the summer. I will praise him for the money we save on gas. I will praise him for how the sun shines through the sunroof while we are cruising around listening to the radio. I will praise him on how it will keep us safe if we are in harm’s way. I will praise him for the kids comfort with room to wiggle and even room for their friends to join us on trips. I will praise Him for the reliable transportation on our long trips to take my son to his appointments in Texas and to visit him when he goes away to college. I will praise him for the way my kids can rest before and after those 2 hour drives to and from away games in the fall. Just Pray! Your prayers have already been answered
The point is that I want to visualize and feel how I will feel in that car AND I want to thank my God for giving me those things to thank him. I know that God will answer my prayers before I pray them. He knows what’s best for me. He knows what’s best for you. Pray as if your prayers have already been answered, and you will receive an answer.
How will you change how you pray for things?
Will you start thanking him for his provision even before he gives it to you?
